Kim Alexis, best known for her six appearances in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, says her days of wearing revealing bikinis are behind her.

Now 65, the supermodel and podcast host is embracing a different kind of confidence rooted in healthy living, faith, and self-acceptance.

Alexis recently launched her podcast “Unexpired,” where she invites guests to discuss aging gracefully, rediscovering purpose, and maintaining vitality in midlife.

For her, that means honoring change and letting go of old expectations — including how she dresses for the beach.

Here's What They're Not Telling You About Your Retirement

“I’m not sure if I have the confidence to wear any swimsuit,” Alexis told Fox News Digital with a laugh. “I am 65 years old. I think there comes a grace period where you say, ‘I don’t need to wear that’ and be comfortable in my skin.”

She explained that becoming a grandmother has also influenced her mindset. “I now have a grandson, so I am not going to wear a thong to the beach. I’m just not doing it. It’s OK to change the swimsuits that you enjoy wearing.”

Throughout her career, Alexis appeared on more than 500 magazine covers and became one of the most recognizable faces of the 1980s. While her days as a swimsuit model are behind her, her focus on wellness is stronger than ever.

“Maybe some women want to cover their stomachs, maybe others want to have a little skirt, and I think that’s OK,” she said. “I think it’s OK to evolve and change. And there are different suits for different body types.”

The model’s approach to health combines clean eating, fitness, and detox routines. She shared that she regularly takes Epsom salt baths with baking soda, sometimes adding seaweed or bentonite clay.

She also uses an infrared sauna, which she said helps her feel renewed.

“I believe that we have either too many toxins or we don’t have enough certain minerals or vitamins, and there are some supplements we need,” she explained.

“Detoxing is very important to me, and it’s not something I do daily, but it is something I incorporate.”

Nutrition remains another key pillar in her lifestyle. Alexis said she prioritizes foods rich in vitamin D and omega-3 fatty acids. She also believes many Americans could benefit from eating more fruits and vegetables.

“I’m a big believer in keeping your body moving, maintaining healthy digestion and being as efficient as possible,” she said. “I’m such a big believer in clean living, clean eating.”

Her fitness routine favors variety. “One day I’ll go rowing; the next day, I’ll go out for a walk,” she noted.

“Sometimes I hop on my bicycle. If it’s miserable outside, I go to the gym. I also add free weights.”

Alexis added that the best exercise is the one that keeps a person motivated. “You have to find what works for you,” she shared. “Other people, like me, you have to mix it up and keep it exciting, and that works. Just get out there, do something.”

Despite the pressures of aging in the public eye, Alexis stays positive and confident. “I think if you are at peace with yourself, there’s an inner confidence and glow,” she said. She urges women to focus on inner well-being rather than unrealistic beauty standards.

Looking back on her modeling career, Alexis said that faith has guided her decisions.

“I believe He’s watching everything we do, so there’s nothing hidden. I was not perfect, but I did have a healthy fear that I wanted to do the right thing,” she said.

Through “Unexpired,” Alexis explores themes of purpose, reinvention, and faith with her guests. Her message is clear: no matter your age, there’s always room to start over.

“We all have gifts,” she said. “It’s never too late to find out what really works for you.”
